Incident Type: Grass Fire
At 4:38 pm, firefighters from stations 2, 4, 8, 11 and 12 responded to a reported grass fire north of the Lincoln Park area.
The first arriving unit found a fast moving (wind driven) approximately 200 x 200 foot grass fire. Firefighters were able to cut the fire off before it ignited a green belt area behind several houses. The fire burned approximately 1 acre and there were no injuries to report.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
