Incident Type: Residential structure fire
Narrative: At 4:02 pm, firefighters from stations 1, 2, 8, 11, 12, 15, and 17 responded to a reported residential structure fire.
The first arriving unit found heavy flames and smoke showing from the 1 1/2 story approximately 1,140 square foot home. Crews attacked the fire with handlines, vertically ventilated the roof and conducted a search to confirm that no one was trapped inside.
There were no injuries to report and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
UPDATE: The cause of the fire is undetermined, with unattended candles as a possible ignition source. The fire caused an estimated $125,000 damage to the building and its contents. The fire displaced four occupants.
