Narrative:  Firefighters responded to a reported garbage can fire in a bathroom at Grey Middle School.  School maintenance staff had moved the can outside, and fire crews confirmed the fire was out and that there was no extension in the bathroom.  The incident was forwarded to Tacoma Police Department for follow-up.

Narrative:  Firefighters extinguished a prohibited burn at a homeless encampment.

Narrative:  Crews responded to a reported oven fire.  Firefighters confirmed the fire was out, checked for extension with a Thermal Imaging Camera and ventilated smoke from the apartment.  The fire damage was contained to the oven and upper cabinets in the kitchen.

Narrative:  Crews responded to reported apartment fire.  Upon arrival they found a large stock pot on the stove had caught fire.  The fire caused minor damage to the hood/vent system and they used positive pressure ventilation to remove the smoke from the unit.

Narrative:  Firefighters extinguished a trash bin that caught on fire.  The fire consumed the bin and its contents, but did not extend to the commercial building it was next to.  The cause of the fire was undetermined.

Narrative:  Firefighters responded for a reported oven fire and arrived to find light grey smoke showing from the front door of the residence.  The crew checked for extension and vented the building.

Narrative:  Firefighters extinguished a small (six feet) fire in a plastic drain tile system connected to a garage.

Narrative:  Firefighters responded to a reported fire in the mechanical room of the commercial occupancy.  Upon arrival they determined that a water pump had malfunctioned and started to emit sparks that charred a plywood box the pump was set on.   The crew confirmed the fire was out, checked the area with a Thermal Imaging Camera to look for extension, and had staff cut power to the pump at the electrical panel.
