Fire Incidents 2/13/13

Narrative Firefighters responded to a reported fire at Bates Vocational College. The fire appeared to start when a woodworking shop table saw blade struck a metal object (i.e. screw) creating a spark that ignited the saw dust in a 10" section of rubber exhaust hose.  Firefighters put water on the smoldering embers, removed the hose from the building and used a Thermal Imaging Camera to check out the remaining dust collection system and external collection components for fire extension.

Narrative A lens of sodium light in cold storage area melted and caught fire.  Fire was out upon arrival.  Firefighters check for extension finding no further damage.
